GREEN H2 AND GIGA STORAGE
SYSTEMS FOR GREEN HYDROGEN - SUSTAINABLE, LOCAL, AFFORDABLE

AEROLYSER
FOR A FUTURE WITH ZERO EMISSIONS

OUR AEROLYSER TECHNOLOGY:

With its innovative storage concept, the AEROLYSER enables round-the-clock production (24/7) of hydrogen, purely with green electricity, and thus makes a significant contribution to the competitive production of green H2 in Germany.

The AEROLYSER consists of an industrially scalable liquid-air storage system with a power plant device for generating electricity and is combined with an electrolyser for hydrogen production. The patented "made in Germany" technology increases the efficiency of the liquid-air storage and power plant device by utilizing the waste heat from H2 electrolysis. For the long-term storage of seasonal electricity surpluses, the system can be expanded to include a liquid H2 storage unit.

THE BENEFITS IN DETAIL:

  • The AEROLYSER technology is patent in europe and pending worldwide and improves system efficiency.
  • Energy storage in liquid air (short-term) and liquid H2 (long-term) saves resources, is environmentally friendly and sustainable.
  • The surplus of green electricity available in the power grid during the day and especially in summer can be used by the AEROLYSER.
  • The AEROLYSER contributes to grid frequency stabilization and can provide green balancing energy if required (black start capable).
  • The decentralized and self-sufficient use of our technology means that the construction of supra-regional distribution grids can be avoided.
  • If required, plant components for the production of other products such as methanol or ammonia can be integrated.
  • The AEROLYSER concept can be flexibly adapted to individual customer requirements.

USE CASES:

The AEROLYSER offers a wide range of applications:

  • IN TRANSPORT: H2 as a fuel for hydrogen-powered drive concepts.
  • IN INDUSTRY: H2 as a fuel for energy-intensive industrial sectors and for industrial processing.
  • IN HOUSEHOLDS: H2 as a fuel for heating and power generation (key component for federal states and municipalities to achieve climate targets).
  • AS AN ELECTRICITY SUPPLY: Provision of short- and long-term electricity storage and green balancing energy to stabilize the grid frequency.
